I have experienced a symptom of the recall. On at least two occasions I had a great deal of difficulty taking it out of park. One time was in my driveway, when I stopped to pickup the mail. Another made me late for an appointment. Scary to know that another possibility is total rear wheel lockup while driving. And since this system does not trigger antilock, that means at the very least a huge skid, possible into other vehicles, into the on-coming traffic lanes, or possibly the median wall. GM seriously needs to consider workarounds. Harnesses stocked at assembly locations should be expedited to servicing dealers to fix existing vehicles. If a major crash happens, the cost to GM will be far greater in a lot more ways than the delay in producing new units.

Are these the wiring harnesses in question? The right side hangs lower than the left and seems unprotected
I don't know if that is the harness...but your right one has a bit exposed to being hit by stuff on the road. Hopefully that is just that ...they will lift it up and tighten the grip and we are on our way.
On the other hand where they are ...if you reversing in deep snow or high grass...it may catch stuff

I did go to a dealership for the recall. They checked the harness supposedly and did not see any issue but they wanted to change it anyways so they made me come back after a few days. But today I went and they said they got the wrong harness...they'll call me when they get a new one. They gave me a free tire rotation for wasting my time (as i am close to 15K miles). The dealer is not too keen on EVs and the whole business between GM and dealers is not very serious. This is not the way I would expect dealing with a recall that can cause crashes should go. The service specialist started by making sure I know that he is not fond of EVs...but otherwise courteous and professional.
I have a ding/crack that is slowly expanding on my windshield. I asked for a quote to replace it. It seems they don't have the windshield ...it is on back order. I was advised that safelite may have it. Goodness the whole thing is so disappointing and tiring.

GM dealer would not fix a small lag bolt in my tire, said it was too close to the side wall ( it was about 1 1/2 " in ) I left and went to a Pep Boys, manager measured it with a spot stick, said it was ok to repair and they did $26, saved me $250 from having to buy a new tire, I tipped them well ! 🤑

Very disappointed in GM. The experience was way better when we bought a Volt in 2014. There were actual engineers we could call to ask questions and flaws were quickly fixed. The charging scheduler actually allowed us to set a start time to save money on electricity. Now, it seems like they just want to give us the finger and tell us to crawl under a rock.

Yes, this is a serious recall. The risk of the parking brake activating while driving or failing to hold the vehicle when parked can lead to a crash. Since parts or inspections aren’t yet available, monitor the My Chevrolet App for updates. Avoid engaging the parking brake while moving and take extra care when parking. Get the recall addressed as soon as it becomes available.
I saw the stop sale at many dealers as I was shopping for the Blazer EV. I go a real new one, only 7 days on the lot, and there is no issue with this recall. But I wonder how GM fixed this a few months ago at the factory and did not recall these older Blazers several months ago. I would like to know how they fixed this on newer Blazer EVs and if that fix is really a good long term solution. Can anyone tell me how they changed newer Blazers at the factory.

I would theorize that they knew they could have an issue with the location of this harness many months ago (maybe even a year) and made changes in production at that time. Then they did a wait-and-see approach to determine if any real-world issues would occur. Only once they did and NHTSA did their research to issue the recall did it show up on dealer's radar (June 25th).

My dealer refused to do the inspection recommended in the recall because the replacement parts aren't available and cancelled my scheduled service appointment. I spent some time on the phone with the EV Concierge to explain the situation and their response was "try another dealership, we can't force them to work on you vehicle". So I have to drive 40 miles instead of 5 to have a SAFETY issue checked? Lots of other car brands in that 40 mile drive I could stop at.

Yeah, plenty of Nissan dealers, too bad they have engine bearing recalls! Nissan has recalled over 440,000 vehicles due to a potential engine bearing defect that could lead to engine failure. The recall affects certain Nissan Altima, Rogue, Infiniti QX50, and QX55 models equipped with VC-Turbo engines. Nissan dealers will inspect the engine oil pan for debris and perform necessary repairs or replacements, potentially including the engine itself.

the only real concern is moving new units out the door and collecting the money. After that, screw u. They do not give a damn unless they get sued for wrongful death
Just follow he money and you will see their smiling faces and talons.

brought my EV in. dealership seemed to look intgo recall. Sent me home stating they didn't have the parts. One would certainly hope when they scheduled the service they might already have needed repair parts. Four weeks later, I called. Park is not available. If I didn't call would they have even looked back into my repairs? Sounds like when they didn't have the chips for my 2022 equinox heated seats and steering wheel. Took them 9-months an blamed it on covid. easy out right? Love the car not the concern for our safety. Just like a manufacturer to consider cost versus probability of loss.

I was also told that they can’t perform the recall repair because they don’t have the parts. Anyone hear a date when they might arrive yet?

For a problem that could result in catastrophic outcomes, the company sure is dragging its feet getting the recall off the ground. Seems that the priority is building new vehicles to sell rather that protecting the lives of those who have already purchased.
Does everyone know the definition of avarice?

Actually they can’t sell any new vehicles until they do the repair. Supply shortages are going to be all too common with all the confusion surrounding tariffs.

The conduit on the cable (if fixed) looks like a stainless steel water line conduit. The problem conduit is plastic. You can see it at the right rear of the vehicle going to the rear brake.

I received a letter, safety recall N252503010 late July 2025 it's to do with the wiring harness.
Note: Drivers may receive a service parking brake warning and in some cases vehicle may not shift out of park.
Note: Parts to repair the vehicle are not currently available, when parts are available the dealer will repair at no charge and will receive another letter.
They are working as quickly as possible to correct this condition
