For those with 2025's the latest update is W52E-176.1.2-M170-SQBR5-250.2
For those with 2024's the latest update is W38E-174.4.1-M170-SQBR5-180.3

To find the version you're running, go to Settings -> System -> About, and scroll down to the build number. This is the version for the radio and only the radio.

When dealers perform VWP (Vehicle Wide Programming), everything except the Radio and Telematics ( OnStar, GPS Module) is updated.

They also get this fancy report telling them what was updated and if it was already up-to-date. You should request it be printed out and given to you, to verify they performed/attempted, to do the updates.

Below is a copy of mine when I did it myself, the last picture is from a user on Reddit.

This is great! Thank you

My car has been at a different dealer for a day now. They asked to hold on to it for a few days while they fully checked every module is up to date. I really hope they can provide me with the paperwork like above.

By chance, do you know if there is a release or change log of the above build numbers?

I'd love to know the difference between a '25 vs a '24

There is not a change log between the two. But I'm sure 250.2 will be released for 24s when they figure it out :)

So I had a 30 minute call with the service manager. He stated that all the issues I reported are 'normal', even the sudden phantom breaking at highway speeds. 😤

He also stated that these updates are, in fact, VIN specific and when his technician plugged in the Vehicle Wide Programming machine, it found no updates needed for my vehicle. He stated that if the VWP device finds no updates, there is nothing they can do to 'force' an update. It's pretty much a hard stop for them.

I called Chevrolet EV Concierge and the person I spoke with says that not true. EV Certified tecs have a direct line with GM EV engineers where they can open a 'TAC' ticket and work on this together. These GM EV engineers have the ability to force updates. All the service department had to do was to reach out to them. They clearly just don't seem to care. So they've lost my business.

The EV Concierge person gave me another dealership about 15 miles from me. I called and spoke directly to the service manager. Explained to him everything that's going on. He understood and set up an appointment with himself and his most trained EV technician next week. I've printed out TSBs 092, 113, 132, & 143 as well as screenshots of my current version vs others here.

I'm not giving up on this. If there is anything else you think I should bring with me or discuss, please let me know.
the auto braking thing is a common complaint and I am not sure that any fix has been rolled out- the dealer is probably telling you the truth on that. MANY have complained about it and turned it off which is what I suggest you do until they come up with a fix.

I turned it off. It braked suddenly while exiting a parking lot. If someone had been following closely it could have resulted in a collision. It also did it repeatedly while parking the car both at home and in a public parking lot.

I picked up my Blazer today from service and am able to verify the software has been updated. Honestly, I am just happy to have two different seat buttons (heating/ventilation).

Still unsure why I never got this as an OTA though.

Okay. I never receive any OTA update that gave me the split settings for the heated/ventilated seats. The care as never received a single OTA update, ever.
No one ever got an ota that gave the split icons, that was a dealer update. No one has ever received new features via ota except from Google maps and app related updates which are totally separate. The only ota that was sent only said it was prepping the car for future otas and that was months ago. You haven't missed anything I assure you.

Will this update "85751819.mnf" be the same on the 2024 Blazer LT AWD? Mine is in the shop right now to get updates and because a rubbing noise on the drivers side front suspension. It has 870 miles and the noise is heard when you go over speed bumps at low speed. I also saw some freezing up of the Sirrus/XM app when streaming the Pandora artist station option. I had set my infotainment system to do a full boot up on car startup and that seem to have helped the freeze ups, but it much slower to come on every time you get in the car. What do I need to ask them to update for the infotainment issues?

just ask them to run the vehicle wide reprogramming and make sure everything is up to the latest spec. That simple, don't work about asking them add some specific version of the software-they just need to update everything that isnt to attempt to banish your issues.

Unfortunately, for many of us here, it hasn't been simple. Many dealerships are not EV Certified and for the ones that are, they still don't know how to properly perform a VWP.

My car has been at a second EV Certified service center for over 2 days now. Hopefully, they'll get it right the second time around with the correct updates.

The tsbs are on the Internet and they provide step by step directions to the techs. I mean you can take a horse to water but can't make him drink. It would be different if we couldn't see the level of detail GM is providing but we can. They need to follow the directions.

My questions were:

1. Are the software/firmware versions the same for the RS to the LT (I do not have ventilated seats so I probably would not see the new seat control icons)?

2. What software version should I look for to address the Radio/Infotainment issues (W38E-174.4.1-M170-SQBR5-180.3 )? As stated before the VWP does not address the Radio/Infotainment issues.

I have this: W38E-174.4.1-M170-SQBR5-180.3

After printing out all 4 TSBs with screenshots of the new builds and taking it to a second dealership service center, they were able to complete a full VWP. In fact, the EV certified tech stated my software was on the oldest build number he's ever seen. Every module in my car was outdated. Thankfully, the VWP completed without issue.

New 24 LT owner and first time EV owner. Learning lots of things I never anticipated I would need to know but I also enjoy learning things so there's that. However, if this was my wife trying to make the change in routine/how things are done, might be a different story.

Anyway, I bought my car in early January as a used EV (only 21 miles on it however) and had to take it in to the local dealer (purchase dealer is 2 hours away) to get a 2nd key fob programmed. Didn't know at the time to ask, but it looks like I need an update to the software package(s).

Also, I note under Update/History, there is no entries listed, meaning that this car has received no updates since rolling off the assembly line, either from the dealer or OTA correct? I've downloaded the PDFs for the following: TSBs 092, 113, 132, & 143.

Question, if the local dealers are clueless or unwilling to address without other "warranty" work being performed, how does one connect with the EV Concierge?

TIA

Based on your screenshot, you're correct. You are running on a very old build, likely the one programmed on the assembly line.

You will need to head to an EV Certified GM service center and ask them to review the TSBs mentioned above. You can verify the closest EV Certified center by calling EV Concierge at 833-382-4389.

Assuming the service center is competent, they'll need to upgrade your vehicle modules to:

W38E-174.4.1-M170-SQBR5-180.3

For those with 2025's the latest update is W52E-176.1.2-M170-SQBR5-250.2
For those with 2024's the latest update is W38E-174.4.1-M170-SQBR5-180.3

Thank you!

I’ve had my 24 RS since October, and even though it appears there were newer updates at the time, mine came with the SQBR4 version. Has anyone gone from the R4 without any issues to R5 and continued without issue?

My fear is my car isn’t having any issues now but I need to go in for a tire rotation soon and wanted them to update everything, mainly for the security update that goes from July 2023 to the newest one and to separate the heated and cooled seat options. I don’t want to end up going from no issues to having regular or constant issues however. Can anyone comment on that.

When I called they told me they didn’t think there was an update so I assume I’ll need to push back a little to get it done.
