Similar to what they have in fighter jets. It’s an emergency select inject button🫨😂. Sorry no it’s additional icons set behind the scenes so to speak. HUD and the charger door button. I hope that helps

It was always there in the main screen it is for "controls" apps...with the SQRB5 update they have put a copy of the controls in the left region.

I dont think any harm would ever come from tapping an icon in the car.

 

Well we are currently driving, and I was curious but didn’t want to stop and park to find out. 🤷‍♂️

 

It's additional controls. I usually go in there to bring up the cameras when I'm parking. Also auto-highbeams, park assist, etc.

 

You can add the camera icon to the banner across the top of the infotainment screen. That's what I did for exactly your use case. That way its one touch to bring up the camera.

 

Tap it. It gives you acess to different settings. Nothing magical or cool (unfortunately).

 

It's detailed in the owners manual. It brings up another screen. Try it!

 

I have also noticed the garage door remote has been relegated to the "sub-menu", meaning I have to hit this new icon then the garage door opener. I seem to remember being able to customize the quick access panel on the left but while I can "select" the garage door opener icon and drag it over, it doesn't stick (and there doesn't seem to be a way to edit the ones already there.

Any suggestions?

 

If you define your home location ...it will appear automatically on the left side when you are within a few hundred feet from your home location. when you back up it moves to beneath the camera screen.
