Left turn signal activates after completing right turn

I thought I was crazy at first that the signal seemed to remain on for a longer time than usual after completing a turn. I've noticed that after making a right turn, when the turn signal cancels the left turn signal will activate for a blink or two. Anyone else experienced this?

I have 2024 RS RWD w/14,000 miles. Same issue with the turn signal. I’ve had the vehicle at the dealer a couple of times for other things. Mentioned this problem. First time (6 months ago) they said they couldn’t replicate the problem. The last time (2 weeks ago) they said it's a known issue and should be fixed with the software update they did. I told them I have seen online posts about this, and that I suspect they need to replace the turn signal switch. They said GM wanted them to try the s/w update first. If that didn’t fix it, then they would be able to replace the turn signal switch. It did it again on the way home from the dealer. They have now ordered the part and we are to take the car back in once the part arrives.

In my vehicle, it happens when I signal a right-hand turn, then as I am completing the turn, I allow the steering wheel to freely return to center. As the steering wheel “free wheels” back to center, it “over steers” just a bit in the opposite (left-hand) direction causing the left-hand lane change indicator to engage. Thus, the three rogue blinks to the left. It’s the same three blinks you get when you quickly flick the turn indicator to signal a lane change. I read in another post someplace that a small tab on the turn signal switch can become damaged or broken during vehicle assembly. When this happens, the lane change indication can be erroneously triggered as described above as the steering wheel returns to center. Hence, the need to replace the turn signal switch to ultimately fix the problem.

I too have experienced this issue with my '24 RS, but I'm not planning to take it to the dealer just for that. I hope it doesn't confuse other drivers, but how often do I see people change lanes with no prior indication... or continue driving straight down the road with a turn signal flashing the whole time. My Chevy dealer is so short-handed with EV technicians that I'm not going to waste their time or mine.
