What is the best home EV charger that won't only be compatible with the Chevy Blazer EV but others EVs on the market? I'm hoping to get more of a flexible system that's priced reasonably. So far Charge Point seems to be one of the best sources for them (haven't decided on a specific unit yet).

Just to be clear, as long as the charger you buy conforms to the J1772 plug standard, it will work with any EV (even a Tesla with an adapter). The ChargePoint seems nice. I have 3 ENEL-x Juicebox 40’s installed and they’ve been great. Some people swear by clipper creek models. Do some research, there are lots of options.

Check with your utility to see if they offer any incentives on chargers. Mine offers a $500 rebate on a connected charger, and has a list of qualifying models.

I have the Juice Box Enel X. It was $1,000 with roof solar install from Gold Rush Energy Solutions.
Most reasonable Solar Co. out there. Juice Box is XLNT performer.

I'm using ChargePoint for my Mach E now and no issue at all. I don't know this one is best for all of EV but I'll keep using this for my upcoming Blazer EV.

I have the Grizzle-E EVSE currently. It's fairly simple but I think offers the most bang for buck. It works up to 40A but has a dip switch that can be set lower if your electrical requirements require it.

Old thread, but I assume that there is no reason to get the Ultium PowerUP charger unless it is reasonably priced versus the rest? There aren't going to be any proprietary features that would give it an advantage over any others that meet the J1772 plug standard, right?

I imagine the Ultium charger will integrate with the My(GM Brand) app, for whatever that's worth to you. Like you already said, unless it is priced extremely competitively, I don't think there's a compelling reason to go with it.

As for those out there that are complaining they are paying more for electricity and it costs more to charge an EV at home, even at 20 cents a kilowatt hour with a completely dead 100kW pack, you would be looking at $20. I just put 14.5 gallons in my wife’s V6 Blazer and it cost $45, projected range, 350 miles. Guess the rules of the internet hold true, only people complaining how something costs more and not comparing it to actual facts. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I just put this charger in for my Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe. It does work great. The setup is easy. The app give you lots of info. It makes the connection with the car pretty quick.

I put it in myself and hardwired it so there was about 2076 trips to HomeDepot. The only negative I have is the screws and inserts provided to mount it are worthless in drywall. Into concrete they would be fine, but drywall they will just spin. Into drywall just plan to use something else and save a little frustration.

Thanks for the information. I am planning to the the emporia. I can save myself a couple trips to Lowes by gettin the the drywall screws before hand.
