I found a new dealer to address my multiple niggling issues (intermittent recognition for auto tailgate, power moonroof needs multiple tries to close, steering wheel tilted, oem evse overheats when ambient temp hits 75F, charger door sticks out at bottom right corner and has a hesitation and then a snap into place for the last 1/8 inch of travel, etc.). They claimed to have done a "Vehicle Wide Software Update" and so far my tailgate has recognized me 3 out of 3 times. I do now have the split seat icon so I know I'm updated, but I can't put my finger on a post with the known latest update to verify I am fully up to date. I'll post pics here. Can someone please confirm I am up to date? Thanks
On a different note, the dealer recommended they not do the charger door tsb (filing down the bumpers on the door). They have ordered a new door mechanism, with no eta, and want to see if that fixes it. More interesting, the EV technician says he is "hearing" that Chevy is working on a retrofit mechanical door. He expects a recall or other program to offer it up to us when it is in production. I'm taking that with a very large grain of salt, but I was told that the tech is driving a Blazer EV so he has some skin in the game. My service advisor is also driving a Blazer EV. I think I'll stick with this dealer for a while.

I still find it unnerving that my security update is now more than 10 months old.

Is this the latest? Including the first OTA?

I think GM stock holder sare making the cash don't work about it dumb people will fix or buy a nother

I have no idea how to get the 1819 update. I had it at the dealer last week and even gave them the download number but the tech didn't know anything about it. There is far too much inconsistency among dealers and it also seems between build dates
Lack of EV knowledge is the big issue. Most of the technicians i have dealt with seem like nice people but have no clue about EV. as i mentioned before, when i went for as issue and asked for the software update as per the TSB, they were keep showing me recall screen and adamant that nothing for my car. Did not even look the TSB. Don't say here anything bad about GM or Blazer EV here. Pitch forks are out. Apparently it is only OK to share loudly even when unrelated to the question about the good things but some how you are out to get GM if you complain about any issues here. my favorite one is "You might hate chevrolet so much that is why keep posting negative comments". LOL i hate it so much, so i went and spent over $70K CAD. Sad state of our education system.

this seems to be the sentiment here as. oh you hate it so much (how dare you, you have problem, you should not complain, only i have the right to yell at how good my car is). no wonder we are getting crappier quality each gen.

Don't even get me started on so called EV concierge that know nothing about EV

That one doesn't have a separate passenger temp zone. the knob on the passenger side is the fan control instead...
The climate control buttons between the two knobs are different also.

yah, doesn't like this view. if it works without glitching then will take working version vs glitchy (best of the worst). hopefully no planned obsolescence already for 2024.

Just realized that the physical keys are different in 2025. Physical Key for AC and Heat (replaces fan speed keys). both nobs are different as well. Seems more logical. Damn, GM already making interior changes.

Scheduled serve? On an EV?? I have my Kona EV for three years never once went to the dealership. Add windshield washer fluid as needed. That's it.
Tire rotation is about it. I like my dealer so have no fear about going there. They will also be able to give me top dollar for trade, as they've done with prior vehicles, because they were purchased and serviced there.

Hello everyone,

Sorry to revive an old thread here, but I am having a really hard time with my local dealership in getting my Blazer EV updated to the latest software.

I just purchased my '24 Blazer EV RS AWD last week. I've been running into issues with phantom breaking, software glitches, and system freezing.

From reading this thread, it seems I need TSBs 24-NA-092 & 143. I printed these TSBs from NHTSA and brought them with me to my service appointment. I made sure to explain to my service advisor to have the technician review these TSBs and follow the steps....the technician did not. He checked my VIN, found no recalls, and only recalibrated my front sensor. I tried to explain to my service advisor about the current software versions in my car vs the latest posted in various screenshots here, to no avail. He simply said they've done all they could do and they are not 'familiar' with these EVs yet. I was shocked he'd say that straight to me because I called Chevrolet EV Concierge and they confirmed this dealership I went to is 'EV Certified'.

I've reached out to the service department manager and left him a voicemail to reach out to me to discuss this some more, but other than that, I'm not sure what to do.

Could someone on the latest software please post a screenshots of their screens here? I want to print them out to discuss this with the manager.

Here are a couple screenshots of what I'm currently running:

I think you should also show the <settings> <system> <about> screen that shows the Build Number.

It seems to be general ignorance or unwillingness from the dealer side. I had contacted my purchasing dealer about the vehicle wide software updates (modules and radio) and was also immediately met with the "There's no open recalls" brush off as well as a "If there are applicable updates, they will be received via OTA's through OnStar"

Now we know that's not the case, and TSB's from Chevy/GM are instructing them to perform these updates in house. So where is the gap? Why are dealers intentionally avoided processes and service instructions provided by the manufacturer?

I went to another location and apparently they said they performed updates, but I can't confirm that actually happened until I pick up my vehicle (I am having other work done.)

Is there a comprehensive list of software build releases and dates?

I have an issue where my car will randomly forget phones and I have to reconnect it. I purchased it in November 2024 and the build is "W38E...180.3 38"

I work in parts and help with service. Unfortunately there isn't any info sent out about updates or anything concerning EVs. You would think with the 25 models rolling out they would send out a dealer software update bulletin or memo. My sales manager and I both have a blazer RS AWD and his is more updated than mine. He has a traction control button in the controls menu where I do not. His is on the Jan 2024 build and I'm on the Jul 2023 build. What is tuff from a dealership service standpoint is who is paying the techs for this update. Typically we need the right bulletins that reference the labor rate so we can make a warranty claim at GM so they are paid and the fix is completed. This goes through their minds when they hear the word update. Updates weren't a big common occurrence until recently with EVs. Plus lack of training from GM on this stuff hasn't helped either thus why a lot of places will shrug off the words " I need an update." Hopefully it will get better over time as it slowly becomes the norm. I may have to schedule mine for a complete module update as well since I'm behind on the version.

So I had a 30 minute call with the service manager. He stated that all the issues I reported are 'normal', even the sudden phantom breaking at highway speeds. 😤

He also stated that these updates are, in fact, VIN specific and when his technician plugged in the Vehicle Wide Programming machine, it found no updates needed for my vehicle. He stated that if the VWP device finds no updates, there is nothing they can do to 'force' an update. It's pretty much a hard stop for them.

I called Chevrolet EV Concierge and the person I spoke with says that not true. EV Certified tecs have a direct line with GM EV engineers where they can open a 'TAC' ticket and work on this together. These GM EV engineers have the ability to force updates. All the service department had to do was to reach out to them. They clearly just don't seem to care. So they've lost my business.

The EV Concierge person gave me another dealership about 15 miles from me. I called and spoke directly to the service manager. Explained to him everything that's going on. He understood and set up an appointment with himself and his most trained EV technician next week. I've printed out TSBs 092, 113, 132, & 143 as well as screenshots of my current version vs others here.

I'm not giving up on this. If there is anything else you think I should bring with me or discuss, please let me know.

The dealer that did the update for ours was not our selling dealer but is the one closest to us. They are not very knowledgeable with the EVs because I had to tell the tech in service how to drive our Blazer EV has he had no clue how to even put it in gear. Fortunately the EV Concierge had contacted the service manager beforehand on this third visit and they took care of it within a few hours. Good luck!

A list of update versions and release dates would be nice to see. It's crazy that GM is so behind the curve on maintaining software. The tech companies let so many people go...I hope GM has been hiring them.
