Yep, it looks like you are right where I was. If you want to try again, ask them to update your software per NHTSA Bulletin 24-NA-143 from July of this year. I'm not sure if that's what did it for me or if I have just found a very customer focused dealer service department.

Yes going to call and check. I am pretty sure they will be clueless as they just did software update (Battery Module) 2 weeks ago. Very nice people/place to deal with though so assuming lack of EV training/experience.

Interestingly one of the very reason i moved from Hyundai was the dealer experience. Horrible on both sales and service side. Even though i had one in 3 km and another 5 within 20 km, i used to go to one almost 60 km away. Car was good and didn't have to deal with Hyundai directly (I am sure they could easily be as horrible as GM, mainly not providing enough tools for its employees). GM dealership i am dealing with on the other hand has been excellent (both sales and service). Sigh! why can't we have best of both.

I am getting ready to take my Blazer in for the first service at 7500 miles. When I check the install history, both on the app and on the infotainment screen, there are no updates. I received an OTA update a few months ago but I could not get it to install, and it eventually disappeared. I am guessing that I will need an update from the dealer and I do have a list of quirky things that have happened from time to time. The most common of these issues is the rain sensing wipers not working at all or sometimes just constantly running when there is nothing on the windshield.
I will probably call OnStar and ask before I go to the dealer, but I am hoping that the dealer doesn't give me any slack about doing an update.
I also had the wiper issue - just stopped working one morning, along with the Infotainment system - wouldn't display apps of home screen icon. Dealer said they unplugged and re-plugged ' a cable'. i'm hacked at this car and the dealership, which issued me a statement saying 'could not replicate owner complaint' and everything was hunky-dory. When in fact, they told me they'd contacted GM and consulted, and were told to 'reboot' the cable. Infotainment problem is now back. grrr. but wipers work.

it helps to have the paperwork when you go in for your appt if the dealer is a little lost as to what to look for. You may also want to discuss with the service advisor in advance so they can get prepared and be ready by the day of the appt.

I had both symbols when I bought my '24 RS AWD in August. 2 OTA updates since then haven't changed them.
Mine was not properly updated i guess. Not all the dealers have good EV expertise so more ymmv situation. Booked an appointment as also have issues with phantom breaking. If they don't properly update everything and fix the issue then i might have to look for a new dealer.

There's nkt really a fix for that at the moment. There is a planned fix to be released, and it will be an OTA. Best thing to do is turn off the braking part and just leave it on alert.
i know. it sucks that i have to disable the critical safety feature to use the vehicle that costs so much. other day the car applied break when i was turn left. luckily no one on the road, could have easily T-Boned. more day, more problems. worst car of my life.

### Please if you have a car that is working fine and have good experience then enjoy. Just someone has good performing car and/or other makes have similar issues doesn't make it ok to release such a crappy car. No one doing a charity and giving these cars out for free ###

my dumba**s dealer refused to even look at the TSB 24-NA-143 its is not under my VIN. Instead after spending more than 5 hrs gave the car back and doing nothing but quoting 24-NA-048 (i don't know how it magically appeared eventhough there was nothing on my VIN when i dropped off) and suggesting how to turn off the critical safety feature that is mandated in next few years. as closing time technicians left and only the receptionist handing the key with the info. GM's full commitment to EV future in display. sigh!

That is some serious BS. This TSB is not vin specific. If you can find another dealer you should give them a try. I gave up on one 6 miles from home and went 30 miles to the one that has its act actually together. If there is no alternate, maybe the EV Concierge can help. BTW, the Concierge can give you a list of the nearest ev certified dealers.

thanks. for the love of go i actually printed it and took the physical copy of the 24-NA-143. but the person who took in the car took a look at it and asked "did you get this by inputting VIN". when i told her that it is not VIN specific, she was keep showing the recall page on her screen and saying no TSB. It is combination of dealership/employee fukery and GM's ultimate leadership. TSB specifically says how the EV platform is complicated and require proper software to function. anytime customer go in to dealership, the first check should be to check whether the cars has the latest software or not.

anyways yes, will be reaching out to other dealer later this week or next when i get time. total waste of 5 hrs of my life.

Best of luck to you.

So hopefully this helps those of you dealing with this. The TSB doesnt mention that the USB software update for the radio is NOT part of vehicle wide programming event (yet) and must be completed independently of the vehicle wide update process. You'll need to make sure you tell the dealer to complete the full USB update as well (TSB 24-NA-092) Once that portion is complete you'll truly be "up to date" with the new UI changes etc.

The vehicle wide programming portion has been extended to a lot of ICE vehicles now and the radio updates are basically the normal USB method GM has been using for years so really any competent (I know right?) dealer should be able to do this without any issues :)
