Too many unknowns and no communication from GM.

For a number of reasons we decided to buy a Mercedes-Benz EQB rather than wait for the Blazer EV.

I certainly understand why you might not wait to buy a GM EV product. The lack of communication from GM is frustrating and raises many questions about how they are progressing or NOT. My concern is they are unable to make commitments or reveal any details because they are yet to be determined. Scary! I am still holding out until the end of summer. If GM is unable to provide significate details about their vehicles that are to be built this summer I will take a walk to another manufacturer. I have a reservation for the Blazer EV and would look forward to purchasing one, but my patience will run out soon. I hope GM monitors this website and is getting the message that interested parties are unhappy with the lack of details.

I agree with B. I will wait until the end of summer before moving on to option ??? Trying to buy an EV has been very frustrating.
I wonder why GM, after making the Bolt, allowed itself to get so far behind. Right now I'm looking at the choice between waiting for a Blazer EV or Equinox EV to come out or buying something that came out a year or two ago that has had some time to work out the kinks like the Ioniq 5 or the ID4. Of course there are reason I prefer the Blazer and Equinox on paper, but they seem like a risk and like others have mentioned, the lack of communication doesn't build confidence. I'm think its possible that Tesla will make some changes to the Model Y to make it more appealing to me, but I think it's more likely they'll make it worse, in terms of what I want. The only recent information I've heard is that they are getting rid of CarPlay, which means they unchecked one of my boxes. Then again, if anyone else had the perfect EV for me, then I wouldn't be waiting for GM to get it's act together.
There are in-stock ID.4s being sold below MSRP if you're tired of waiting. Check around.
We looked at other EV's in the price range, and decided to buy a Mercedes EQB250+. After we agreed to the deal I told them that since the car didn't qualify for the tax break, if they would take an additional $7500 off we would buy it. And they did. Very pleased with it.

Damn, I'm waiting for one since February 15 2022 (500$ deposit, official order) and there are many others in front of me in the list. Here in Canada we really get nothing, they don't give a sh** about us

That Tesla y rear room looks smaller than blazer. Kinda iffy about that

Can you 'import' a US ID.4 from Washington State (If west coast) or New York (if east coast)? Not a far drive. LOL

Don't know but with usd/cad conversation and the incentives we have here (12k) it's not worth it to import

That's good to hear, seems like it would be worth a try. I like the EQB350+ but availability and price are a problem. I thought maybe I'd look for one used, but there are so few of them in my general area that seems unlikely. I like me a boxy car. : ) Thanks for your input.
