Reservation Camping

One thing I have been noticing in a lot of discussions, and it makes perfect sense so don't think I am judging, is how many reservation holders are camping their reservations and will be taking the first EV that comes up. It isn't like you're out anything if you cancel your reservation after all as you'll get your fee back.

Are you camping a few reservations just waiting for the first call back to say they have a car for you, or are you just sitting only on the Blazer reservation?

In the current climate of chip shortages and the long wait times to receive Vehicles, it would be wise to hedge your bets and put deposits on a few vehicles. I for one am in need of an electric Vehicle and would be willing to receive any of the 4 vehicles I have deposits down on. I will take the first one that comes in and get my deposits back on the rest. The Blazer "appears" to be my best chance at getting one. The higher cost may deter some when comparing to the Equinox. Crossing fingers
The only other reservation I have is for the Subaru Solterra. But the range and charge speed is lacking and now that it doesn’t qualify for the tax credit, I don’t feel like it is worth the money. I haven’t cancelled yet but probably won’t buy it. So the blazer is what I really want now. I just have a regular reservation and not an exclusive one so I hope I can actually order.
I have two reservations.....but mainly because after I placed the first, the dealer wouldn't say if they would charge ADM. I didn't realize I could move my reservation (and it's only $100), so I placed another reservation at a different dealer. With the market shifting....and some brands of EV's starting to sit, I'm curious about the ADM once this car gets made/delivered. I'm also not sure I'll take either, as I really like my 22 Mach E.

I also had a reservation on a Solterra, but the dealership pretty much ghosted me, so I got it refunded.
Nope, the 1 reservation I have for the Blazer is all I have and want.

If you don’t want your blazer reservation I’ll definitely take it!! I really wanted to reserve one but I think I waited too late.
For me, it's just the Blazer. I did order a Mach E GT and it was built in January of '22. After hearing rumors of the Blazer EV, I decided not to take delivery of the Mustang and I'm glad I didn't. IMHO, the Blazer is better looking and a better value.

I will only take one of my reservations....but I don't know which until the dealer (different ones) contacts me about pricing and timelines. I'm also not sure if it is possible to transfer reservations??

eh....I have the Mach E GTPE....and I like the look of the Blazer - I ALSO love the look of my Mach E - It is a head turner for sure........but will the match the performance of my GTPE.....this is where I have questions.
Honestly..the current climate is such that if you even think you may want/like a vehicle you should drop a reservation for one. The waitlist for almost everything is measured in years and you can always cancel. Its best to keep all your options open just in case.

Example..I thought I wanted a Mach E. On paper it looks like the EV for me..specs match up, decent price good reviews, etc. Then I sat in one at an auto show. I'm a bigger guy and I felt extremely claustrophobic. No matter how I adjusted the seat I couldn't get comfortable. (I tried sitting in a second one to make sure it wasn't a one off).

In the end I was glad I didn't put all my hope in one vehicle. Not to bash the Mach E, I think its still great..just not for me.

I have a reservation for the Blazer and the Lyriq AWD. Like most previous comments, just hedging the availability. Over in the Caddie Lyriq forum there are similar discussions on multiple reservations. I do have some must haves that the Lyriq AWD has and only to date the Blazer SS will offer. I've looked at a couple other models but are to sanitized, low range, lack hp, or are well above what I want to pay. Hopefully, the Blazer RS AWD will have a min. of 400hp. Don't want to start on that path here, it's been beaten to death on several other threads.

I have reservations for both the Blazer and Silverado EVs. Right now I'm skeptical of GMs rollout of EVs. It just seems very slow and very low key. It seems like the Lyriq has been painfully slow with not a huge increase in production. I'm seeing Ioniq 5 and Ev6's all over the place, lots of Id4s and even a few Lightning trucks. Have not seen any Lyriq...

I know its still early, but Ford and the Koreans seem to be ramping MUCH quicker...
I have a reservation for a Volkswagen ID.4 Pro S Plus AWD. I reserved on February 25th last year and since then it has undergone a price increase when it was pushed from a 2022 to a 2023 model year and today, they just raised the MSRP by another $1500.00 making the MSRP on the Pro S Plus AWD $56,483.00 which is over a $5,000.00 increase in just short of a year. At one point they also removed the premium sound system from the standard equipment of the Pro S Plus but didn't reduce the price. As of today, it is still not scheduled with a production date, so I think I probably have a better chance of getting my Blazer RS exclusive reservation before I get the ID.4. I have lost all faith in Volkswagen at this point and would really prefer the Blazer anyway. From my perspective I don't think GM is doing a terrible job of rolling out EV's providing they don't push them out another year and raise the price twice like Volkswagen has done.

I have a reservation for the Blazer EV, Fisker Ocean, Nimbus One S, and will be reserving the Ram EV. This is because I have a YouTube channel and I reserve them to make videos.

Welcome to the forum. Are you planning to buy them all or just getting whatever shows up first? Curious because I know folks on both ends, some trying to supply their household and others just putting the probabilities (of an allocation ASAP) in their favor.

Agreed that VW is looking very incompetent. I canceled my ID.4 reservation - again! So that's makes 3 cancellations. I only have the Blazer EV reservation now. LOL
I’ve placed the $100 deposit on a Blazer EV and a 2024 Lyriq AWD. I have an EV that does most of what I need well, but I’m open to upgrading for higher charging speed, increased range, better autonomous driving, and more space. I placed two deposits due to imperfect knowledge. I don’t know the final specs or price of either vehicle. When those are revealed (along with a better understanding of timing), I’ll make a choice. If I knew specs, price, and timing upfront, I would have placed an order for one car if it met my criteria.
