Orders opening later this month according to my dealer

The dealer that I put in a reservation for the Blazer EV just contacted me. They introduced themselves and stated that they've received word that they'll be able to start taking orders later this month and if I still was interested in ordering. Other than that, details are exactly what we know. Currently there's no information on options or confirm standard items on specific trim other than what's been stated by GM.

My dealer stated that they won't be getting any dealer inventory to test drive or sit in. Everything will be customer ordered. Not much information other than it seems that we'll be able to place orders later this month.

With the changes that has happened since reservations opening up, I'm not sure I'll be ordering the later this month.

Don't come after me with pitchforks if I'm wrong (GM has been known to change plans without alerting us) but in our most recent call with the GM rep, we were told orders open on the 20th. Now, that doesn't mean your dealer will have allocation for one on the 20th but SUPPOSEDLY that's when we'll be able to configure one.

Currently, the software we use to configure vehicles has an option for the Blazer EV but you can't continue to the actual configuration, yet. However, we can see an RS Blazer in our "quick order" software and it shows a handful of standard features that are included...just no option for any additional packages (sunroof, supercruise, etc.). There are a few standard features that I hadn't heard about before like a surround vision recorder and heated wiper park. Nothing Earth-shattering but still interesting.

What city and/or state are you in?
Duuuuuuude. I am too. Can you share what dealer? The dealer I reserved mine through said they don't have any info at all

Well "1stinline," your information seems to be spot-on based on what my dealer just told me. My dealer confirmed that I am #1 on their list of reservations and that it also looks like they will be able to take an order for the RS model on 4/20/23. They are seeing the same thing in their system that you are seeing there in Nebraska...and...they cannot do an actual configuration just yet. We are planning to get together this coming Thursday to firm-up an order assuming everything falls into place as expected.

My dealer contact also told me that it appears that only four colors will be available initially: White, Black, Radiant Red and Sterling Silver. It seems that either of the interior options would be available. Additionally, they said it looked like only the AWD drive would be available for initial orders. Also, as I think I remember him saying, that it would be standard with 360 degree and rear-view cameras? Plus, like your info, no additional info on packages or options as of now. Hopefully all of the details will be available on the 20th.

Thanks for your early heads-up from a reliable source of information on the new Blazer EV! (y)

Ugh. Luckily I’m close with the manager there since he has sold me and my family many previous cars.
USA only or Canada too?
I have read somewhere from a canadian dealer employee that the portal to order will open by the end of april in canada too. So the 20th is possible in canada.

You need to reference where you read. I'm from Canada as well, facebook, twitter has no confirmation from "dealer" employee said anything. My dealer said no, last monday.

My dealer updated me, seems it's opening this week too for us!

Quel Trim tu va choisir?

I'm more interresting on how does the gov't incentive will apply on the Blazer.
Even I had purchase an Tesla M3SR+ 2023, it was eligible for Quebec+Fed incentive, but it's really annoying how they will stack up, when you compare to other OEM.
Ex: Polestar 2, both FWD/RWD/AWD qualifies for QC/Fed, because base FWD MSRP are below the threshold. Options can keep adding up with no issue.
But Tesla, isn't. If you go for LR, you fall out of the eligibility.
Battery size is a bit worry, the RS AWD will fall out of that eligibility. (AWD should have the bigger battery right?)
