Sooo I'm hoping I'm not the only person that is having this issue with a refund on the Blazer EV

I have 2/3 reservations and I'm wanting a refund on
1 - Put on my credit card but don't want it on there
2 - Double billed the reservation on my checking account

I contacted my "preferred" dealer the day after I put my reservation in and got a "Deer in Headlights" conversation, during the conversation I told the sales guy that I need refunds on 2/3.... His response.... "IDK anything about that" leaving me to do the leg work.... Where my charges clearly show the Dealership Name....

Fast forward 2 weeks

I have VMs and Emails over to the sales guy and nothing... I've finally given up and went ahead and contacted Chevy overall and they engaged in the conversation/help with the Dealership to give me back $200 of reservations. I'm to find out by tomorrow 8/4 if they have moved anything to get my money back.... At the same time, I'm moving my reservation to a dealer that has a great EV Expert and is going beyond getting me info on where I'd stand in line and just overall help with the situation.

Anyone else in this nightmare of getting money back? If so, what was your way to get it back?

Thank you!

Well, the 1st one was on my credit card I thought twice and wanted to get it off of there, so I canceled that one
The 2nd was for some reason a double reservation on my checking account IDK how it happened, but it did
As an FYI.. Everyone has personal reasons to use or not use a credit card. I would say in this scenario a CC gives you the ability to dispute a charge, and with the documentation that Chevy provides on cancelling a reservation, a dispute is a strong tool to use. I too have changed my dealership, so I'll be curious if I receive my refund within the 7 business days as stated by the Chevy website.

Just got done speaking to Chevy EV Corp on my refunds that are still not back in my account (9 days for one 13 days for the other Business Days)

The agent doesn't understand why it's not refunded and needs to pass this along to another person that handles this... I should be hearing a call back later today on what the hold up is, and by the way if you are to move your reservation to another dealer... You need to pay another $100 to move it and then the canceled one will be refunded...

Right now it's beyond frustrating that Chevy cannot get their act together on this on the refund policy but so so easy to take your money for this car...

After leaving a not so happy message with the Dealer they called me back and stated the following...

"We found out that the Dealer will need to pay the refunds back to the customer"

"We have gone ahead and refunded your amount and shall take another 3 Business Days"

I should have 2/3 refunded by next Tue.... After I get that I'll be withdrawing my reservation from the following Dealership, if you have yours at this dealership, I strongly recommend you transfer over to another dealer like I am.

  • Moran Chevrolet in Clinton Twp Michigan
  • Sales (Contact me personally if you want the name if the sales guy that was straight out horrible and rude)
  • The Salesperson was very rude, no clue what was going on, no interest in my concerns simply could care less
  • Only was able to get this resolved by reaching out to Corp Chevy EV area
  • Dealership didn't understand that they had to refund the money and insisted that Chevy Corp was the ones to do so.

Location I moved to
  • Heidebreicht Chevrolet in Romeo
  • Sales James Panoff (Expert in the EV Market for Chevy, this guy is helpful quick response and knows what he is talking about)
  • Only a few Blazer EVs ahead of mine for a reservation

If anyone is having trouble getting your refund for whatever reason contact the following Chevy EV Corp number 833-382-4839 and wait on the line till a live person comes on, they will request your reservation number and a little bit of info

Hopefully this helps anyone that is in my position that I was put in

Not to downplay your experiences, but I've bought multiple vehicles from Moran and never had any issues. Last purchase was this past March and they sold for MSRP on a high demand vehicle and honored all discounts. Never had any EV experiences with them so its possible there's a disconnect there, but I plan on keeping my reservation there. They have already reached out to me to confirm everything with the reservation and we'll see how it goes once ordering opens

I mean they did the same with my selection and all

but I think just the sheer mass confusion and also my sales guy doesn’t seem interested at all in giving me any kind of time of day following up with the situation

but hey glad it worked for you maybe it’s just the sales guy I have
