I don’t know what to tell you guys on that. The dealer called (and texted) and literally said there were two “recalls” and they requested I come in the next day to take care of them as it was “urgent”. How would a consumer know the difference?
I think this is really just dealers playing games so they can book those service hours for the reflash. I had a dealer hound me a couple years ago for an owner's manual supplement. They bugged me once or twice a week for MONTHS to come get this single owners manual page and book 0.2h of labor against warranty (billed back to GM, not me) for printing out a one-page supplement. You're exactly right, you would never know that it's anything other than a "recall" if that's what they told you.

I'm headed to the dealer in a couple of hours for my 7500 mile service. We'll see what they say about this.
So my service advisor grabbed his code reader and plugged it into the OBD port. He said he can't charge GM for the work if thete arevno codes. Sure enough, both issues showed up even though my car shows no recalls in the database. I recommend folks ask for this check if your dealer doesn't automatically address both items.

Interesting, mine showed that update in Feb (N25-F172AE), and another new one just installed yesterday (N25-249243). Should note year / model ('25 RS AWD).

you are the first person Ive seen with the 249243 update. I did see that equinox evs got an update for supercruise. Do you have a 2025? What does the car say the new update does?

I do have a 2025. I don't have a screenshot, but when I looked at the details it said it was related to improving the wiper heating. Mind if I ask where you saw the equinox ev update for supercruise? Do you know what it changed?

There is a guy with a channel called average ev and he has had an equinox for almost a year. He just said it noted software improvements to improve ability to take curvy roads etc

Good to see GM is pushing updates OTA again on the Blazer.

I’m assuming the version my car is running on, with the heated and cooled seats grouped together, will have to wait for a dealer to do the other updates before I can get this OTA update. Has anyone on the same version as me (sqbr4-126.4) gotten the update pushed to them?

Same version, have never seen an over the air. I still have one button for seat cooling/heaters.

i dont think there is anything out there that backs up the belief that the update from the dealer was needed to get OTAs.

Anyway we can find out what the latest update does. It’s wild that they don’t tell you.
Reminded me of this bit from a Jacques Brel song

Car me voyant sans exigence
Because seeing me without demands
Elle me croyait sans besoin
She thought I had no needs

So because we do not ask about it they think we don't need to know !

To follow up on my last post, just got an update pushed to me so you do not need to have the most recent dealer installed updates to get this.

After installing GM N25-F172AE I’m now getting an Onstar needs attention warning on the app and the red Onstar light in my car. I’m going to drive it around this weekend and see if it clears like my high voltage ones did a while ago. If not, back to the dealership…
