I for one am very interested in knowing how the Bose system will sound in the Blazer EV. How important is that aspect of the new vehicle to you?. How about you, and what will be the standard you will use to make that call? When I test drove the MME last year I was pleased with how my USB full of tunes sounded even though I did not have much time to really sort out the settings on that system. My current 2016 Edge has what Ford described as a premium Sony 12 speaker system, but it is far from premium to my ears. It does have a CD player which I will miss, but so it goes.

My wife’s 2022 Traverse, and even my (previous car) 2019 Malibu had Bose systems that would blow my MME Premium’s B&O sound system out of the water. They know what they’re doing at Bose w/ the Chevys.

I’m fairly disappointed with the 6 speaker + sub Bose system in the Bolt. The sound is muddy and lacks presence, and the sub is small and mostly benign. I much preferred the Harmon Kardon system in our old 2011 Outback. I hope the Bose in the Blazer EV is much better.

sound system is very important. I have a B&O 15 speaker and a sub in my Acura RDX. If the sound system is bad is the SS I won't buy it
It seems that auto makers are installing better standard equipment sound systems lately. I could be generalizing I am aware of some pretty crappy systems in Korean made autos. But, case in point, the standard sound system in my 22 Camry is better than the standard offering in my ‘20 X5. Ever since
Tesla “set the mark” on their sound systems, seems that others started paying more attention to what
customers really wanted.
I really don’t find the Bose system very good anymore. Kinda sounds like a cheap boom box.
The Blazer EV better be good, but I won’t reject if it isn’t, because, at this point in time, it represents
a unique “large SUV“ to hit the market at a decent price point.

Is is a given it'll be a Bose system in the Blazer EV? i hope not, but that's only based on a Bose system in a 150K Taycan. It sounded pretty bad - boomy with no articulation of mids nor clear highs. i'm a musician and engineer in my professional recording studio so I've trained ears for good audio. As a point of reference, I like the systems in the Mach E, Volvo C40 recharge, Polestar 2 and the BMW iX (the best I've heard to date). The AKG 24 speaker system i heard in the Cadillac Lyriq is poor as well. in any event, Let's hope the Blazer pulls it together!

Welcome @Lyleworks! I don't think there's been confirmation yet about what the sound system is going to be yet.

I've heard a lot of good things about the iX's interior. Say what you will about the exterior but inside it's supposed to be extremely comfy and really quiet from road noise.

I extracted this image of a SS front door panel from a video taken @ the Detroit show and it was indicated as a BOSE speaker at the least, and perhaps indicates a BOSE total system. It is pre-production unit so...

Everything in the Blazer SS has to be significantly better than what I have in the Mach-E for me to convert to a purchase. I’m really fence-sitting on all of these different EV/Hybrid reservations I have (a Fisker Ocean that was converted to an order in an attempt to preserve the pre-IRA tax credit, a Maverick XL, a Fisker PEAR and an Aptera, as well as the Blazer SS).

I was pleasantly surprised with the system in the MME I test drove last year. I didn't take the time to adjust the settings, I just inserted the USB I brought for the drive and thought the system sounded much better than the so called premium Sony 12 speaker system in my Edge. Let's hope the Bose system is better yet in the Blazer!

The sound system is very important. I do not think 8 speakers is competitive against other new vehicles. I do not believe we are minority,IE you can get a McIntosh in the new Jeep. wake up GM upgrade or offer a better sound system.

Welcome to the forum @stopthebs2! Is the sound system a dealbreaker for you if it's not what you're looking for?

I would like the option for an upgraded system with more speakers. The Kia ev6 offers Meridian w 14 speakers. That being said I listened to that and it is not that good. none the less if options for upgrade were available I am sure many would opt in.

The Harman Kardon 9+1 speaker set in my current 2020 Kia Soul EV sounds VERY good; by far the best of all the cars I've owned so far. At this price tag I expect nothing less than a solid audio system in this car too.

Meridian / KIA has had nothing but problems with the amp in that system, and from what I read the replacement amps don't do much if anything to improve upon the failed amp.
