Not much activity on the forum, but I guess that is expected since there wasn't much info available until tonight. My wife was interested in getting an EV for her next vehicle and I really liked what I saw with the Blazer, so I reserved an RS tonight right after the launch. I liked the SS, but my wife isn't concerned with high performance. My biggest concern is the dealer adding a huge markup for those of us who signed up early. I guess we will find out.

Hi Nick. Welcome to the Blazer EV forum. Yeah, it's been like a ghost town around here for days now. The big reveal should get things cranked up now...I hope!
Welcome Nick. Hoping all the new info will get people interested and joining the forum. Just wait, we'll be in-fighting just like the other forum groups out there soon enough. :ROFLMAO:

Congratulations @ngiovas and wellcome to the forum! Markups are going to be something to keep an eye out for. It's going to be a minefield finding dealers that won't gouge us.

Is the Blazer going to be your first EV?
Yes, this will be our first EV, but I have driven many, so I am very excited. I wonder if the dealer would be able to answer any questions about pricing yet? I thought it was a bit early to call them, but maybe they will be prepared to provide some info.

Well, you would think that the dealers would be able to answer questions that we might have. However, based on what my dealer tells me, he thinks that I probably know more product facts than they do! o_O When it comes to EVs, seems like initially everything is directed to function via the internet. The dealers don't get really involved until later in the buying process it seems to me. Maybe that's why all the dealers are not 100% into the BEV game? Just a thought.

If your question is specifically about the markup you can ask them about whether or not they add markup on new vehicles and see how they respond.

I did call the dealer yesterday and the salesman I spoke to had been there for many years and stated that they never mark up vehicles above MSRP. He said he has been at this dealership for multiple launches including Bolt and Bolt EUV and they always sell the vehicles for what GM puts on the sticker. This makes me feel better. Obviously, this could change, but I'm not going to stress over it so early in the process.

That's good to hear that they gave you a clear answer. Hopefully they stick to that throughout the process. Which dealer are you ordering from?

I am ordering from Bowman Chevrolet in Clarkston, MI. Not the biggest dealer in SE Michigan, but I thought I would support a local business. Plus, that is where I will likely be going for ongoing service (although, since there are no oil changes, I'm hoping not to visit them too often :) ).
