Other than the Firebird Formula I purchased in 1978, I’ve always been a Ford person. The Blazer was always on my to do list. Now that it’s an EV with an updated sporty look, I’m hooked. I look forward to driving both vehicles. I just hope GM doesn’t disappoint me.

I have never understood why people flip flop between automotive manufacturers. So I am curious as to why you would switch now? The fact that you have or you are going to switch does make me happy. I just hope GM can impress you enough for you to stay for the rest of your life. You mentioned the looks is that what sold you on the Blazer? Will the Blazer SS be the trim you choose? Chevy for life!!!

I hold a reservation for the SS. It is a great looking vehicle. After being with Ford for so long it’s time for a change. I still love driving my Mach E but that could change once behind the wheel of the SS. As an early adopter of the Mach E EV, I’ve had my share of recalls and software issues. Hopefully, GM does not but I’m prepared for it.

There's no way I am leaving GM

Welcome to the forum @tikispeed86! Sorry to hear that you weren't able to see the Blazer EV on the weekend. Car companies are more picky these days about which shows they attend. Which Blazer model are you looking to get?
I have a reservation for an SS but I would be happy to see any of the models.
I would like to see the Galaxy Gray color (aka purple).

I think Chevy is bungling their EV marketing horribly. They should have models of every EV (at least the ones rolling out in the next year) at EVERY auto show so people can lay eyes on it. We had hoped to see the Blazer at the North Texas show but were disappointed there was basically no GM EV representation there. On the other hand my wife fell in love with the Lexus RZ. They were letting us sit inside and touch everything on their pre-production model on the floor, that being the benefit of actually...you know...having vehicles at these shows.

I like the Mach E but a turn off for me is the huge info screen that looks like it was tacked on as an afterthought.

I was in the same boat as you until recently. A buddy just picked up a Mach E GT, and i must say aside from the limited trunk space, the interior etc is really nice. The Blucruise is amazing and overall the car is nice. I even liked the center screen (mainly due to the speed of the screen and size as CarPlay and Android Auto look incredible on it)

I purchased a model Y about 3 weeks ago. It's the best car I've owned but the "customer experience' was horrendous. I'm going to drive that until I can get my mits on an SS. I really liked the acceleration of the Y and I'm reluctant to give it up. The reduction in range between the RS and SS aren't meaningful to me as I'm not going to be taking long trips in it.

Welcome to the forum @WhenCanIOrderMySS? What kind of customer experience have you had with Tesla? Have you had issues with it?

Why is trunk space something people complain about?

Because the main reason of getting an SUV is the Trunk space needed? Here we have 3 large dogs and getting the car ready for a trip is always a Tetris game, espeically when we bring sport gears! I must use cargo on top too. If trunk space was not a requirement, I would have a Tesla Model 3 already.
