2024 Blazer EV DC Fast Charging Speeds Below 30 kwh

Hi Everyone,
I’m seeking advice and insights regarding the DC fast charging performance of my 2024 Blazer EV LT trim. Despite being rated for faster charging speeds, I’ve been experiencing consistent issues with charging rates on DC fast chargers. Here’s a detailed breakdown of the situation:
Issue Summary:
  • Tested at both a 125 kW ChargePoint station and a 350 kW Electrify America station.
  • Regardless of the battery percentage or state of charge (SoC), the charging speed maxes out below 30 kW, even with preconditioning enabled.
  • Attached images from a recent Electrify America session (both app and vehicle dashboard) show speeds below 30 kW, despite the station supporting up to 350 kW.
Service Visit Findings:
I had the car inspected, and the service report stated that the charging system had no faults. Their note mentioned:

While they concluded that charging was functioning “as expected,” the performance falls short of Chevrolet’s stated specifications.
Manufacturer's Claims vs. Observed Performance:
  • Chevrolet claims that the Blazer EV LT trim supports charging speeds up to 150 kW.
  • The official website highlights that the Blazer EV can provide up to 80 miles of range in 10 minutes of DC fast charging.
What I’ve Done So Far:
  • Tested multiple charging stations and terminals.
  • Ensured preconditioning was enabled during charging.
Questions for the Forum:
  1. Has anyone else with a 2024 Blazer EV experienced similar DC charging speed issues?
  2. Are there any known factors (e.g., software updates, station compatibility) that could explain these reduced speeds?
  3. What steps should I take next to ensure this issue is properly addressed by Chevrolet?
I’m planning to schedule another service appointment to discuss this further, but any insights or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your help and suggestions!
Best regards,
I’d be testing at 5-10 sites with 350kW and recording results. Call OnStars EV Concierge if you don’t get good results. Dealer may need to drive to a 350kW station to test.
To add to this, it is not abnormal for the Blazer to start at 150kW then crash to this speed mid-charge.

Thanks for the reply.
I don't know why does anyone even pay for OnStar service.
I did call the concierge, after a wait of ~10 minutes, the first agent said she supports only roadside assistance and put me on hold for another 10 minutes, the next EV concierge just redirected me to dealership to get this fixed. I asked for some kind of official documentation or link (which surprisingly GM/Chevy does not list any DC charging speed number on their product/brand page). Put on hold for 20 mins while they quoted me official manual that basically says charging speeds vary based on charger and conditions. I have already tried 3 different sites and different terminals at them, max I have received is 29 kwh. Wanted to confirm with fellow owners that I am not missing any settings in device or App as the EV tech at dealership is definitely new to this. I'm taking it back to them for sure.
Sounds like you never got to the EV Concierge, just normal OnStar reps.
You do need to go to more sites to charge to verify it’s not the stations fault.
Check PlugShare to see if others are reporting errors at the station, or getting good speed there.
